Joel Rothman, Ph.D., Professor of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at UCSB
Dr. Rothman will discuss recent genetic discoveries that could add many years to the average lifespan. A Helen Hay Whitney fellow and EMBO fellow at the Medical Research Council, Cambridge, England. he is the recipient of a Searle Scholars Award <http://www.searlescholars.net/people/1992/rothman.html> and Shaw Scientists Award. He is also on the Board of Trustees of the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara <http://www.ccsb.org/> .
