What's happening: The Humanist Society Book Club will be meeting on Wednesday, May 17, at 1:30
The Book: Jon Meacham's American Gospel (God, the Founding Fathers, and the Making of a Nation). This hot new book, which deals with the role that religion has played in American politics, has received much attention. Meacham just appeared on Jon Stewart's Daily Show.
Borders is selling the (hardbound) book for $16 - list price is $23
